About the role
Scope: Atlantic Canada- Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute strategies to convert accounts (single departments and/or the whole hospital) to the use of Masimo products in an highly-competitive market.
- Engage in selling of accounts, including qualification, demonstration and closure of competitive and exclusive products, positioning Masimo technology as the new
- standard of care in pulse-oximetry and other noninvasive blood parameters’ monitoring systems.
- Ability to make product demonstrations and negotiations both with physicians and hospital administrators (bio-medical engineers, purchasing managers, etc.)
- Partner with appropriate Distributors and OEM sales personnel in planning and executing sales strategies to convert accounts.
- Provide information to upper management including market trends, competitive activity, product design needs, regulatory, and production requirements.
- Participate to hospital bid tenders.
- Maintain thorough product knowledge including ability to demonstrate products, position products vs. competitive products and in-service end-users.
- Provide regular sales forecasts to upper management. Manage expense budget for all required activities.
Requirements:
- Three or more years of Medical Device Sales experience. Patient Monitoring systems highly advantageous.
- Proven track record of selling both disposable products and capital equipment to hospitals and the ability to
- communicate value based solutions.
- Direct selling experience in highly-competitive markets.
- Experience calling on physicians and hospital administrators (bio-medical engineers, purchasing managers).
- Experience working with Distributors and OEM sales personnel.
- Demonstrated conceptual, analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Results oriented with a positive "can do" attitude and a sense of urgency to get things done. Bachelor’s Degree or similar level of education
Preferred Qualifications:
- Comfortable in high visibility situations and exhibits strong self-confidence.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills with an exceptional ability to lead group presentations.
- Demonstrated self-starter; a "hands-on" individual who enjoys challenge and is dedicated to getting the job done with minimal support and direction.
- Accustomed to a heavy travel schedule.
- Must be PC literate, have excellent organizational, communication, writing, and project management skills
