About the role
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Manager to oversee daily operations in a fast paced family dinning food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards, managing inventory, and maintaining high-quality food preparation and presentation. The Kitchen Manager will play a key role in fostering a positive team environment and ensuring operational excellence across all facets of the restaurant or hospitality setting.
Duties
- Availabe to work Morning, Cross Overs, evenings, Closing, Weekends and All Statutory holidays.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and serving processes.
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including interviewing, hiring, training, and scheduling team members.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper handling of food products.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety within the kitchen and dining areas.
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control costs to optimize profitability.
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling.
- Monitor food quality and presentation to meet brand standards consistently.
- Lead by example in providing excellent customer service and hospitality to guests.
- Address customer concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Implement policies related to food safety, sanitation, and employee conduct.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Restaurant Kitchen management or food service leadership roles with supervising responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling safety standards.
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms; cash handling skills are essential.
- Demonstrated team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence.
- Background in hospitality or hotel experience is a plus; barista experience or restaurant experience is beneficial.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to interview and select qualified team members effectively.
- Knowledge of food industry regulations and best practices for food safety compliance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and organizational skills. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional passionate about culinary excellence and team leadership within the hospitality industry.

Pay: $39,000.00-$42,000.00 per year
