The Department of Religious Studies invites applications for the following teaching position to be offered in the 2026 Spring Session.

**Spring Term:**May 4 – June 19, 2026

Wage Rate*:$8,922.68 (per schedule "A" of the CUPE Local 3906, Unit 2 Collective Agreement)

Course Description/Relevant Employment Duties
An introduction to the academic study of religion and religions focusing on key themes and on how scholars approach religiosity both historically and in contemporary global cultures. Topics covered may include truth and truth-claims, ritual and practice, myth and history, authority and power, community and conformity.
Required Qualifications:
Eligible candidates are those with a completed or in progress PhD in Religious Studies (or related discipline).
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous teaching experience in the subject area is preferred.
- Supplemented Fees- 15.02(a) The employee may be eligible to receive supplemented fees in accordance with Schedule C of the Collective Agreement. The actual rate of pay when in excess of the base rate of pay is deemed to include any supplemented fees owing, to the extent of the excess amount. If the actual rate of pay is less than the sum of the base rate of pay and the supplemented fees owing, then the employee shall receive the difference.
