The Staffing Operations team at the Public Service Commission is on the lookout for two (2) dynamic and detail-oriented Staffing Coordinators to join our growing team. In this pivotal role, you will be at the heart of our staffing initiatives—ensuring smooth operations, supporting strategic recruitment efforts, and delivering exceptional service to clients across the public service. These positions will be based in Regina or Saskatoon.
As the Staffing Coordinator, you will:
- Administer the Re-employment lists, the Criminal Record Check Program, and the Government of Saskatchewan's Summer Student Program;
- Administer career advertising by proofreading and posting all public service job opportunities to the Career Center using our online job application system and to external media using various methods;
- Run and distribute database reports to support the staffing process; and
- Provide exceptional client support across online job applications, learning platforms, and staffing administration, serving candidates, hiring managers, and HR professionals.
The Ideal Candidate will have:
Knowledge of human resource policy, procedures, and systems such as classification, competency-based staffing, and HR databases such as Taleo and MIDAS Oracle;
- Knowledge of computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and email;
- Knowledge of office and/or administrative procedures, protocols and equipment;
- The ability to gather, recognize, interpret and assess relevant information, and compare it against requirements in order to determine if the information meets requirements;
- The ability to accurately reference, interpret, and apply information from various sources such as acts, regulations, policies and guidelines, to administer a program, respond to inquiries and/or compile reports as required; and
- The ability to accurately, concisely and in a timely manner proofread and/or edit a variety of correspondence using correct grammar, spelling, syntax, and punctuation in a visually pleasing format.
Typically, the knowledge and experience required to achieve the above is obtained through a two-year Business Administration diploma, combined with work experience in a similar role.
