Tomlinson Environmental Servicesis currently hiring anIndustrial Technicianfor itsIndustrial Waste Divisionlocated in Ottawa, Ontario. This is a full-time permanent position working in the Yard and on the trucks at Industrial Waste Facility located on 5597 Power Road. This position is an evening shift and the hours will be 1:00pm to 10:00pm.

DUTIES AND RESPONSILITIES
-
Assist on various pieces of industrial equipment such as Vacuum Trucks, Hydro Excavators and Combo Unit
-
Operate various types of equipment such as pressure washers, line flushing equipment.
-
Participate in Confined space operations as required for industrial projects
-
Operate pick-up truck.
-
Maintain cleanliness of tools and equipment and Industrial Waste Facility
-
Industrial cleaning of chemical non-hazardous and hazardous wastes
-
Assist with plant operations/processing waste as required
-
Working in tight or cramped spaces
-
Working while using respirator or supplied air breathing apparatus
-
Working in areas that may be extreme hot or cold
-
Occasional travel for out of town work
-
Ensure to always provide highest customer satisfaction standards
-
Maintain and inspect assigned trucks and equipment for safe operations
-
Other duties as required
REQUIREMENTS
-
Health and safety conscious and orientated
-
Must have a valid “G” license minimum with a clean abstract
-
Must provide reliable transportation to and from work
-
Ability to work flexible hours, responding to after-hours calls, possibly weekends or holidays
-
Must be efficient working alone or on a team
-
Clean cut, friendly and professional, able to deal directly with customer contacts on site
-
Must have a strong work ethic and a positive attitude
-
Industrial services work experience would be an asset
COMPENSATION INFORMATION
The expected salary range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00 hourly. Placement within the range is dependent on a variety of factors including qualifications and experience.
