About The Role Uber Eats is hiring a Strategic Operations Manager to drive insight-led growth for our Retail verticals. You'll lead segmentation strategy and turn complex behavioral data into clear actions that improve retention, frequency, and lifetime value.
This role requires strong analytical acumen and strategic oversight. You will surface insights through funnel, promo, and retention analyses, and translate them into scalable engagement strategies. You'll guide the direction of CRM, merchandising, and in-app surfaces-ensuring high-intent users are reached with the right messages, in the right places, at the right time.
We're looking for someone who thrives in ambiguous spaces, moves quickly with data, and brings a rigorous, test-and-learn mindset to building growth systems that last.
What You Will Do
- Build: Develop segmentation frameworks that highlight high-potential user groups and run experiments that bring frameworks to life
- Analyze: Use funnel, retention, and promo data to identify key drop-offs and opportunities
- Operationalize: Translate user trends into strategic recommendations that drive action across lifecycle, vertical, and surface
- Partner: Collaborate cross-functionally with partners across the UberEats platform to influence targeting, measurement, and platform prioritization
- Inform: Create dashboards, reports, and insights that guide leadership planning and weekly execution
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of operations, data analytics, business/ general management, strategy and planning, management consulting or similar experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to tackle problems logically; Data-driven approach to decision making and sound business judgment to determine project performance and financial viability, grounded in analytical thinking
- Comfortable working with large datasets; experience with SQL for complex data pulls and Excel/Google Sheets for analysis, modeling, and performance tracking
- Creative approach that enjoys experimentation and is willing to take bold bets despite risk of failure
- Bias toward action and a strong ability to simplify complex problems-drives alignment, clarity, and execution under tight timelines
- Phenomenal collaborator and someone who proactively partners across teams
- Self-motivated, works independently and possess strong organization and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years experience in Management consulting, marketplace growth operations, or strategy work in a large business
For Canada-based roles: The base salary range for this role is CAD$89,000 per year - CAD$99,000 per year. You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
