The Centre for Innovation (C4I) at Medicine Hat College (MHC) is excited to offer a Student Research Assistant position focused on drone data analysis and agricultural engagement. We invite current Medicine Hat College students with a passion for agricultural research, innovation, and science communication to apply.
A little about the role:

Assist with drone data analysis for agriculture-related research projects

Conduct literature reviews to support knowledge mobilization and future project planning

Create content that communicates research insights and presents options to stakeholders, helping inform future project planning and grant development
This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to applied research while building skills in data analysis, science communication, and stakeholder engagement.
Details:
As a successful applicant you'll have:
- A strong interest in agriculture, sustainability, and innovation
- Excellent research and communication skills
- Experience or interest in drone technology, GIS, or data visualization
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- A background or strong interest in Communications, Environmental Sciences, Agriculture, or Sustainable Innovation
- A background in agriculture or drone data analysis would be considered a strong asset
Terms of Employment
Terms of Employment: October 27 – December 12, 2025, January 5 – March 27, 2026
Hours of Work: 10 hours per week
Wage Rate: $20.00 per hour
