**Course Description/Relevant Employment Duties:**A discussion of chemical fundamentals, including bonding, structure, reactivity, and energetics, with emphasis on applications to health, energy, and the environment. Laboratories highlight hands-on experimental techniques and problem-solving skills. Two lectures, one lab; one term.
Required Qualifications: Graduate level education in Chemistry, with a thorough understanding of the aforementioned topics. Prior teaching experience at the university level is preferred, particularly in large first year lab courses. Demonstrated ability to perform the various duties of the appointment (e.g. administrative work, corresponding with students, administering tests/exams, etc.).
**Preferred Qualifications:**Demonstrated experience with the CHEM 1A03 and 1E03 course and lab material.
-Supplemented Fees- 15.02(a) The employee may be eligible to receive supplemented fees in accordance with Schedule C of the Collective Agreement. The actual rate of pay when in excess of the base rate of pay is deemed to include any supplemented fees owing, to the extent of the excess amount. If the actual rate of pay is less than the sum of the base rate of pay and the supplemented fees owing, then the employee shall receive the difference.
Pay Transparency Statement
The starting salary will not be less than $17,845.36 per 6 units, or $8,922.68 per 3 units.
