THE ROLE:
Denison is looking to hire an ESG Analyst to support the advancement of the company’s ESG initiatives. Reporting
to the Director, Sustainability, this role offers a unique opportunity to work cross-functionally and contribute to the
company’s long-term sustainability and compliance goals. This position will be based at our Saskatoon office and
will require occasional travel to communities in Northern Saskatchewan.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, curious, proactive, and passionate about making a positive environmental and
social impact through their work. The ideal candidate also has:
- Post-secondary education in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, Public Policy, or a related
field.
- Recent university graduate or 3-5 years of relevant work experience in ESG, sustainability, corporate social
responsibility, or environmental compliance.
- Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail, and the ability to manage data and timelines.
- Communicates clearly and professionally with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrates high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, with ability to prepare
engaging presentations for internal and external audiences.
- Holds a valid class 5 driver’s licence, enabling travel to Northern Saskatchewan communities as required
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supporting the refinement and implementation of the ESG strategy for Denison for 1-3 years – including
GHG Emissions reporting, Federal Human Resource diversity reporting, Benefits Agreement reporting,
Surface Lease reporting, and voluntary ESG reporting.
- Own and manage the NetBenefit platform for reporting: data collection, quality control, and reporting.
- Work within Denison internal departments and external contractors to ensure systems are in place to meet
the information requirements of the NetBenefits platform and other reporting requirements.
- Assisting in the implementation of ESG initiatives that support the company’s long-term sustainability goals.
- Collecting, tracking, and organizing ESG data, including metrics on energy use, emissions, waste
management, and social performance.
- Supporting the preparation of internal and external ESG reports, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
- Conducting research and benchmarking against industry best practices, supporting continuous improvement
of ESG strategies.
- Assisting internal departments with basic compliance tracking and helping maintain ESG documentation and
records.
- Collaborate with operations and contractors on compliance requirements and implement required
adjustments
