The Assistant Manager – Maintenance is responsible for assisting in the daily operations of fleet and facility maintenance crews, ensuring efficient delivery of services, coordinating field activities and assisting in scheduling, budgeting, prioritizing and monitoring work progress.
Key Responsibilities Reporting to the Manager of Civic Works, the Assistant Manager – Maintenance is responsible for assisting and administration of activities, staff, equipment, and other resources required to deliver the City’s maintenance services and development of preventative maintenance programs.
Qualifications The successful candidate will have post-secondary education in a related discipline such as Business Administration, Engineering Technology and/or a Red Seal Designation. They will also have 3 years’ directly related experience in progressively more responsible positions within a municipal setting, with a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory position.
A competitive compensation package will be provided including an attractive salary range of $108,690 – $129,644 (2025 rates – subject to a cost of living increase effective January 1, 2026 ) plus excellent benefits and enrollment in the Municipal Pension Plan.
