Why this role matters

TheTechnical Inside Sales, Lightingrepresentative, is responsible for building positive relationships with customers and suppliers through generating accurate quotations, sales orders, and returns that align with organizational sales targets. Technical Inside Sales works closely with Account Managers to provide excellent customer service, prevent potential issues, and monitor ongoing projects using our CRM, Salesforce.

This role matters because it’s the backbone of customer satisfaction and operational success. As a technical sales support specialist, you ensure accurate quotes, orders, and returns while building trust and strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal team members. Your collaboration with the sales team, proactive problem-solving, and excellent customer service directly impact on our reputation and mission to help communities thrive.

Position Type/Schedule

This is a full-time position working at theCorporate Divisional Office, 215 - 9440 202nd Street Langley, BC, V1M 4A6. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 40 hours per week.

What to expect in the role

-**Customer relations.**We take pride in providing the best products, solutions, and services with the best people for our customers. Engage in process improvement initiatives to drive efficiency improvements within our organisation, so we can better serve our customers -**Sales management.**Coordinate receipt of all required documentation for project logs for customer sales. Works with lighting specialists to design and maintain lighting systems, cross-reference specification sheets, product selectors, and other internal and external lighting tools including software programs. Supports some direct customers and end-users in all aspects of sales. -**Project management.**Assists in the facilitation and follow-up with ongoing projects and quotations to secure the order or determine the loss of order reasoning. Escalates pricing or other issues to the Lighting Specialists as necessary. -**Quotations.**Manage and prioritize customer inquiries and communications promptly. Issue timely and accurate quotations based on project deadlines and assist in pricing negotiations as needed. Generating quotations using a variety of methods while being accurate and timely (order entry, worksheets, and quotes form) -**Effective communicator.**The key to success is demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills within a collaborative team environment. -**Motivated individual and a strong team player.**You can work independently and in a team environment, which is essential to our success. -**Continuous learner.**Maintain the most up-to-date product knowledge to make product suggestions to customers, including LED technology, lighting controls, energy-efficient lighting, and other new lighting products and technology.

Ideal candidate profile

  • 1+ years of electrical or lighting industry experience
  • 2+ years of customer service and sales experience
  • Lighting product knowledge and expertise in lighting is an asset
  • Intermediate computer skills, including MS Office Suite, and the ability to learn new technical software programs
  • Can provide fast, efficient, and knowledgeable service to customers by interpreting their needs into EBH terminology
  • Can foster strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and fellow EBH staff
  • Possesses strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • A diploma in an applicable technical specialist or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Basic mathematical skills
