Job Title: UX Designer Location: Toronto, ON (Onsite) Duration: 93 Business Days with possible extension Client: Public Sector Pay Rate: CAD $70 per hour
Role Overview
This is a Senior UX Designer role focused on designing intuitive, accessible, and user-centered digital services. You'll work closely with business stakeholders to conduct user research, create personas, customer journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs for web and mobile applications, ensuring an excellent end-user experience through continuous testing and iteration.
Must Have
UX/UI Design Experience: Proven experience designing for web and mobile applications with a focus on intuitive, user-friendly interfaces. Proficiency in Design Tools: Skilled in tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD for creating wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and user flows. User-Centered Design & Research: Ability to conduct user research, usability testing, and translate findings into sitemaps, journey maps, and design iterations. OPS Experience: Familiarity with Ontario Public Service standards, accessibility (AODA), and government digital principles. Technical Awareness: Understanding of web development limitations and basic knowledge of network security and protocols.
Role and responsibilities. Create effective, user friendly and visually appealing interfaces. Design the overall functionality of the product in order to ensure a great user experience, iterate upon it in accordance with user-testing. Design user interfaces for various projects such as digital displays, publications, media, and other creative materials as required. Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate the designs. Conceive and conduct user research, interviews and surveys, and translating them into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups and prototypes.
