About the role
Phasor Engineering is a dynamic North America based company specializing in engineering, design, panel fabrication, and testing/commissioning of high voltage electrical facilities. Our focus is to incorporate the latest technological advances to provide the most cost-effective and efficient solutions to power system engineering. This focus allows us to be involved in a diverse range of projects from conceptual engineering through to commissioning and startup.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated accounting student to join our team on a full-time basis. This role will be based out of our Calgary, AB, office.

Responsibilities:
- Job set up and billing
- Assist with monthly project billing
- Assist in job openings per the PO specifications
- Accounts payable
- Vendor setup according to corporate guidelines
- Monitoring mailboxes for invoices
- Ensure appropriate approvals for invoices
- Matching PO to invoices and shipping documents
- Invoice posting and filing
- Accounts payable accruals
- Reconciliation of company credit cards
- Reconciliation of expense reports
- Monthly GST filing and payment
- Payroll
- Timesheet entry
- Equipment time entry
- Time entry to Open Air
- General Ledger
- Journal entries entry
- Scanning and uploading journal entries
- Bank reconciliations
Qualifications:
- University or college courses in accounting
- 1 or more years related industry and project accounting experience in North America.
Requirements:
- Experience with JDE or Eclipse is considered an asset
- Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Proactive and demonstrate initiative in identifying and taking on projects and duties.
- Pride in work and attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
Preference will be given to candidates who can stay for eight months or longer.
