Phasor Engineering is a dynamic North America based company specializing in engineering, design, panel fabrication, and testing/commissioning of high voltage electrical facilities. Our focus is to incorporate the latest technological advances to provide the most cost-effective and efficient solutions to power system engineering. This focus allows us to be involved in a diverse range of projects from conceptual engineering through to commissioning and startup.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated accounting student to join our team on a full-time basis. This role will be based out of our Calgary, AB, office.

Responsibilities:

• Job set up and billing
• Assist with monthly project billing
• Assist in job openings per the PO specifications
• Accounts payable
• Vendor setup according to corporate guidelines
• Monitoring mailboxes for invoices
• Ensure appropriate approvals for invoices
• Matching PO to invoices and shipping documents
• Invoice posting and filing
• Accounts payable accruals
• Reconciliation of company credit cards
• Reconciliation of expense reports
• Monthly GST filing and payment
• Payroll
• Timesheet entry
• Equipment time entry
• Time entry to Open Air
• General Ledger
• Journal entries entry
• Scanning and uploading journal entries
• Bank reconciliations

Qualifications:

• University or college courses in accounting
• 1 or more years related industry and project accounting experience in North America.

Requirements:

• Experience with JDE or Eclipse is considered an asset
• Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency
• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Proactive and demonstrate initiative in identifying and taking on projects and duties.
• Pride in work and attention to detail and accuracy are essential.

Preference will be given to candidates who can stay for eight months or longer.
