Position Overview
Reporting to the Senior Project Coordinator, the Project Engineering Coordinator will support Kidd Operations in the planning of the safe execution of site closure. The successful applicant will:
Coordinate the development of technical plans, sequencing and execution of reclamation projects and field investigations
Prepare cost estimates, capital requests, presentations, tender and scope of work documents, bid evaluations
Coordinate the detailed engineering with work specifications, execution and supervision of closure reclamation projects in accordance with HSEC policies and procedures
Coordinate with engineers, technicians or others to perform inspections and site visits
Coordinate with Operations and Maintenances Coordinators and supervisors to ensure timely and efficient execution of projects.
The Project Engineering Coordinator may be asked to carryout additional work to ensure the safe efficient production at Kidd Operations as required.
Work within Glencore Project Management Guidelines and within Kidd Operations policies and procedures.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate must have:
Strong project management background and knowledge of the design and project scheduling process
- Minimum of 5 years experience in construction and project management experience would be an asset
- Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
- Technical report writing skillset
- Safety conscience with the ability to work in a team environment
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills
- Civil Engineering technology diploma or equivalent with relevant experience
