You’ll work closely with our in-house creative team (Creative Manager, designers, photographers, culinary, and key stakeholders) to develop copy that makes Fresh Prep feel confident, human, and unmistakably Canadian.
This is a hands-on role with room to grow. You’ll bring ideas to life across multiple placements (long- and short-form), and help evolve how Fresh Prep shows up across brand and performance touchpoints.

##What We Are Looking For
We’re looking for a mid-level Copywriter who can help bring that belief to life — both creatively and strategically — across our brand and performance channels.
This role is for someone who is equally comfortable brainstorming big ideas and writing clear, transactional copy that performs. You understand how people cook, scroll, and make decisions — and you know how to adapt your writing across formats, placements, and funnel stages without losing the heart of the brand.
If you love great food, strong concepts, and thoughtful, effective storytelling, this role is for you.
- 5+ years of copywriting experience (in-house, agency, or a mix)
- A portfolio that shows strong craft, conceptual thinking, and range across formats
- Comfort writing both creative brand copy and clear, transactional, performance-driven content
- Strong conceptual instincts and the ability to bring ideas to life across placements
- Ability to write in a way that feels warm, confident, and human — never salesy or overhyped
- Solid understanding of digital platforms and how copy needs to flex across channels
- A collaborative mindset — you enjoy working closely with designers and cross-functional partners
- Interest in food, wellness, and brands that genuinely help people live better
##What Will Set You Apart
- Experience working on a consumer brand with a strong point of view
- Comfort moving between short-form (headlines, hooks, CTAs) and longer-form storytelling
- An instinct for making complex ideas feel simple and inviting
- Curiosity about how creative performance works — and a desire to improve it
- A genuine appreciation for Canadian culture, food, and community
- Fluency in English is required, as this role supports our creative projects across Canada, with the ideal candidate being fully bilingual and able to support copywriting in Quebec French.
What You Can Expect
- A base salary of $75,000 to $85,000.
- Hybrid work arrangement with options to do their onsite work from either our vibrant East Vancouver HQ or our Saint-Laurent, QC facility. -An energetic, inclusive workplace where your voice matters and your contributions drive real impact -Comprehensive health benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance -Exclusive food perks that let you experience our amazing products -A culture that celebrates innovation, encourages professional development, and supports work-life balance
- The opportunity to be part of a certified B-Corporation making a tangible difference in sustainable food systems
Fresh Prep is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE) and prohibits discrimination of any kind. We value diversity at our company and at all job levels our goal is to be diverse, inclusive and representative of the communities we operate in. We endeavour to recruit, develop and retain the best talent from a diverse candidate pool and truly believe that diversity, equity and inclusion among our team members is vital to our success as a company. We trust that in applying for a role with us you value this as well!
Research shows that while men apply to jobs when they meet an average of 60% of the criteria, women and other marginalized folks tend to only apply when they check every box. So if you think you have what it takes, but don’t necessarily meet every single point on the job description, please still get in touch. We’d love to have a chat and see if you could be a great fit.
At Fresh Prep, we work with a variety of ingredients, including common allergens like peanuts, tree nuts, and dairy. Whether you're in one of our corporate functions or within the production facility, you may be exposed to these ingredients. If you have concerns—especially around allergens or meat—please let us know during the hiring process.
