Location: Cambridge, ON | On-site

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $90,000 - $120,000

The Position Quality Compliance Engineering (NA) will help drive the organization to achieve substantial cost and efficiency improvements year over year. They collaborate with operations and project teams to ensure quality standards and regulatory requirements are met. In addition, they are responsible for strategically supporting change management activities and lead in the use of continuous improvement tools within the business to eliminate nonvalue-added activities, while improving operational excellence. Assist in the identification and proliferation of manufacturing best practices across Eclipse NA, as well as supporting Eclipse Vision and Entrepreneurial culture.

Technical What You'll Do Here:

  • Maintaining Quality Control Systems, including establishing procedures, documentation, and stress-testing internal processes to ensure Eclipse consistently meets the required standards.
  • Support and assist with cross-functional critical business projects utilizing continuous improvement techniques to identify and eliminate waste throughout the business.
  • Support business functions in mapping their work processes and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Audit and support Project Management for closure of items documented in project Risk Registries and Open Issues Lists
  • Lead Eclipse Non-Conformance and Corrective Action processes and Root Cause Analysis efforts
  • Quarterly analysis and reporting of trends within the Eclipse Nonconformance and Corrective Action systems.
  • Work with Project Management for effective escalation when project budget or schedule is at risk, and identify when an NCR and/or CAR is required
  • Investigating process related quality issues, determining the underlying causes, and implementing corrective or preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Coordinate with all North America Eclipse locations to identify and share best practices.
  • Perform internal audits to ensure compliance with the Eclipse Quality Management System
  • Assist with Registrar and Customer audits to ensure continued certifications and approvals.
  • Educate, communicate, and excite the organization on benefits of the continual improvement mindset.
  • Ensure compliance with national and international standards and legislation including ISO 9001, CSA N299, GAMP, TSSA, NQA-1

Leadership

  • Promote positive relations between departments and with partners, customers, vendors, and distributors
  • Recommend and administer policies and procedures to enhance operations which support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Recommend Eclipse Database improvements on an ongoing basis to increase efficiency throughout the company
  • Continuously resource new innovative solutions for corporate competitiveness
  • Adhere to the Eclipse Project Operating Policy

Execution

  • Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and actively participate in group meetings safely
  • Complete other duties and projects assigned
  • Maintain good corporate citizen role in support of the Eclipse corporate Vision
  • Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Eclipse Automation Inc. Conduct Code
  • Foster the development of a culture reflective of the core values of the business

Travel

  • Occasional Travel may be expected for this position.

What We're Looking For

  • Successfully completed either a University Degree or College Diploma in applied science, engineering field or related experience
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in quality assurance
  • Experience in quality management systems and auditing processes
  • Automation industry experience an asset
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to gather and analyze data
  • Solid judgment with ability to make good decisions
  • Strong leadership capabilities
  • Strong organizational skills
  • High attention to detail
