Job Description

CEDA is currently looking to hire a local Industrial Sandblaster & Coater in the Bonnyville area. This role will primarily be based in a shop environment with deployment to various site locations as required.

Candidates must be local to the Bonnyville area.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in industrial coating & sandblasting, within the oilfield and fabrication environments. They take pride in producing high-quality work, understand the importance of safety and precision, and can adapt to both shop and field settings.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Sandblasting material and doing the proper testing and documentation
  • Select appropriate coating and mix as per manufacturers specifications
  • Testing the atmosphere and paint/coating thicknesses and filling out the required documentation
  • Holiday testing when required and filling out the proper documentation
  • Working safely and maintaining a clean working environment
  • Complete jobs in a timely manor
  • Clean equipment and perform routine maintenance
  • Coordinate with onsite client representatives
  • Drive to and from various sites in a company vehicle
  • Other duties as assigned

Role Specifications:

  • Minimum 2+ years of related work experience operating various types of sandblasting & coating equipment is an asset
  • NACE Level 1 or 2 certification, would be an asset
  • Knowledgeable in conventional and airless spray applications an asset
  • Valid Class 5 licence (non GDL) with na clean 5 year driver's abstract
  • Valid H2S Alive & CSO are required
  • Fall Protection & AWP certificates are an asset, we will provide training and Confined Space are an asset
  • Able to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol test

Skills:

  • You are safety focused when it comes to people and equipment

  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis

  • Experience with trouble shooting issues in the field

  • Ability to work well in both independent and team environments and manage multiple tasks while working under minimal supervision
