Based out of the Electrical Division Edmonton (EDE) location, The role of the inside sales representative is to support the spare parts business and other aspects of our Service business in relation to sales.
Essential Responsibilities
- Learn and apply practical experience from on-the-job training
- Learn company products and services
- Learn and become proficient at quoting company products and services, with a large focus on spare parts
- Develop familiarity with electrical and power distribution products, concepts and applications
- Develop familiarity with CSA, ANSI and IEEE power distribution equipment application standards
- Quotation Support
- OEM Multipliers
- Blanket Agreements
- Customer Management for the Spare Parts Business
- Contract Management
- Order Entry through Invoicing
- Oracle Sales Order, Order Management and Projects
- Schedule Updates to the OEMs
- Change Orders
- Expediting Orders with the Factory
- Establish and Maintain T&C with Customers
- Credit Application
- Credit Limits
- Work will require occasional local or regional travel
- Attend in house and outside training sessions
Minimum Qualifications
- BS Degree in Engineering, Business or Technical Sales preferred
- Minimum 0-3 years of experience in an Engineering or Sales & Marketing role
- General working knowledge of electrical products and applications
Preferred Qualifications
- Inside sales role with another OEM or Electrical distributor
Skills, Abilities & Other Requirements
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, computer skills, and work plans skills
- Ability to develop and deliver product presentations
- Ability to work under pressure and put in the required time to meet deadlines
Working Conditions
- Temperature controlled working environment. Some outside activities may be required.
- This position may travel out-of-town to attend training and meetings.
- Typical office environment: may experience minor discomfort from extensive use of a computer display and keyboard; travel between buildings on campus and between campuses.
Physical Requirements
- Maintaining body equilibrium and agility to prevent falling when walking, standing, crouching, ascending or descending stairs.
- Sitting, standing and walking for long periods of time.
- Typing, punching or applying pressure to an object with fingers and palm.
