Job Description
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Hydraulic Technician / Millwright is responsible for installing, repairing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and testing of all types of hydraulic components including pumps, cylinders, motors, valves, and more.
Key Responsibilities
Field service, installation, and commissioning of hydraulic systems and equipment. Teardown, inspection, troubleshooting, and testing of hydraulic components. Key site contact between client and office. Mentoring of junior technician staff.
Qualifications & Experience
Millwrighting background or equivalent industry experience
3+ years of technician experience working in a hydraulic shop. Fundamental understanding of the repair and testing of all types of hydraulic components. Experience in system troubleshooting, system fabrication, field service, and field installations. Understanding of industrial controls, sensors, switches, relays, etc. Able to read and understand engineering drawings and schematics. Understanding of power unit fabrication, tube/piping installation, welding and machining.
Skills & Abilities
Ability to represent company on the frontlines when dealing with customers. Organized, Self-motivated, and hardworking. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Good interpersonal skills and able to work in a team environment. Dependable and consistent in attendance, quality, and productivity.
Working Conditions
General manufacturing shop specializing in cylinder rebuilds. Out-of-town travel, field work, and/or overtime as required. Able to lift up to 50 pounds. Fast-paced environment requiring high attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines. Standing for extended periods of time.
