The Stanley’s Bar and Grill Restaurant Server is part of the team responsible for excellent guest and food service. Main duties include greeting guests and contributing to a positive experience by connecting with them, offering excellent product knowledge, beverage options & pairings, as well as providing local area knowledge, maintaining proper food handling procedures, cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, following opening and closing procedures and providing a seamless experience.
Responsibilities Responsible for full table service (order taking, food running and bussing tables); Prepare and deliver all food and beverages in a timely manner, follow wine service steps as needed; Ensure quality assurance checks are completed in a timely manner; Anticipate Guests’ needs and search for ways to increase Guest satisfaction; Efficiently operate restaurant POS and complete cash-out at end of shift; Maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment; Follow all HAACP and Food Safe requirements; Follow all procedures outlined in the Team Member Handbook; Be knowledgeable and promote the Capilano Group of Companies; Promote a safe work environment paying particular attention to food and beverage safety; Take reasonable care to protect your own, co-workers and Guest’s health and safety; Be alert to hazards and immediately report any concerns of yours or our guests to your supervisor; and, Ensure your ability to work without risk to your health and safety or any other person’s safety is not impaired, by alcohol, drugs or other causes Qualifications One (1) year of serving experience; POS experience or previous knowledge of Profitek System, an asset; Must have up to date Serving It Right certificate; Strong communication skills, multilingual is considered an asset; Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task; Positive attitude and a strong desire to provide experiences Guests are amazed by; Ability to work with team members professionally and with respect; and, Working with the team and supporting one another to achieve company goals Considerations Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 20lbs, climb a step ladder or climb a step stool; Able to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of the business; and, Ability to work in varied weather conditions, including heat, rain, and winter environments Why Join Us? All of the organization’s marketing, administrative and financial activities are conducted from its headquarters at the Suspension Bridge location. CG employs over four hundred people seasonally in addition to the over two hundred year-round positions. Students receive exceptional training and, on average, return for three seasons.
