About the role
The Greenhouse Worker is responsible for supporting greenhouse operations and logistics to ensure quality and efficient product flow.
Duties and Responsibilities may include:
- Cutting and sticking of new plant material;
- Potting and transplanting plants;
- Spacing/moving plants throughout the greenhouse;
- Operating greenhouse automation machinery;
- Packaging and preparing plants for shipment;
- Performing general set up and clean up duties;
- Works in compliance with company policies and procedures, and the Occupational Health & Safety Act;
- Participates in meetings related to role;
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Reliable team player;
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment;
- Strong organizational skills ability to prioritize;
- Strong verbal communication skills;
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other team members as required;
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required;
- Flexibility to work in other departments/locations as required to meet business needs.
Physical Demands/Environmental Conditions
- Ability to stand 8+ hours per day;
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs occasionally;
- Ability to push 50-100 lbs frequently;
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks;
- Working in a cool/ warm, humid indoor environment with moderate noise level and around moving machinery.
