Position Summary:
Oak View Group Canada’s fall internship program is designed for current undergraduate or graduate students seeking hands-on experience in the sports and entertainment industry. Interns will support various client deliverables, focusing on sales and brand consulting, sponsorship strategy, and market research. This program offers the opportunity to work closely with the OVG Canada team in the Toronto corporate office, gaining exposure to key areas of the business while learning from industry professionals.
The goal is to provide interns with comprehensive exposure to working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with a focus on sponsorship and brand consulting. Interns will gain practical experience in these areas through both training and real-life project work with a diverse team.
This is a seasonal role from September 15, 2025 and will end on December 19, 2025.
This role pays an hourly rate of $17.20
This position will remain open until September 15, 2025.
Responsibilities:
- Learn to support client deliverables focused on sponsorship strategy, brand strategy, and sales efforts.
- Assist in the development of strategic sponsorship proposals and presentations tailored to client needs.
- Learn to conduct research to inform and support the creation of client proposals, with an emphasis on sales and brand alignment.
- Perform industry trend analysis, tracking the latest sponsorship deals, emerging brands, and market shifts.
- Engage in day-to-day client communication, collaborating with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of deliverables.
- Analyze sponsorship opportunities, developing recommendations based on market research and brand alignment.
- Monitor industry developments, emerging brands, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for clients.
- Create and design marketing materials, including presentation decks, visual assets, and brand collateral.
- Assist with general administrative duties and office management to support the team’s operational needs.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of an undergraduate or graduate program in Business (Marketing, Communications, Commerce), Sport Management, or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create clear and compelling presentations and reports.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Team-oriented with a strong desire to learn and build relationships within the industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- A passion for the sports and entertainment industry, with a specific interest in sponsorship and brand strategy.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
