What will you be doing?

You will report directly to the Residential Property Manager as an integral part of our residential real estate team. You will be the main point of contact for our residential tenants. Your attention to detail, excellent communication skills and ability to multitask will serve you well in this role.

What experience will you bring to the role? You have well-rounded experience when it comes to maintaining effective communication, liaising between tenants, operations, and accounting to ensure deadlines are met in a seamless and timely approach. You are an effective multitasker when it comes to preparing A/R reports, assisting in resolving tenant issues, processing invoices, and responding to day-to-day tenant inquiries. You are an expert when it comes to building and maintaining positive tenant relationships, navigating the details of lease agreements and are highly proficient with Yardi Property Management Software. Lastly, you are a people-person; you know how to be a team player and work extremely well with others.

The ideal candidate has:

  • 2-5 years property administration, preferably within residential property administration;
  • Technology orientated with an ability to adapt to new systems and processes;
  • Team oriented approach with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in property management systems (e.g., Yardi )and related software tools

Key Accountabilities:

  • Utilizing superior organizational and time management skills;
  • Possessing a strong understanding of residential property administration, and tenant board processes (experience is an asset);
  • Understanding lease agreements, accounting software (specifically YARDI or similar is an asset), detail oriented, strong IT communication such as Outlook, Adobe PDF, DocuSign and Word;
  • Developing and maintaining an effective line of communication with the property manager, tenants, accounting and operations groups and provide administrative support as required;
  • Assisting the residential property accountant in collecting and entering monthly rents in Yardi;
  • Prepare and review A/R reports, communicate with tenants regarding outstanding arrears;
  • Assisting property manager in dealing with and/or resolving tenant issues, and tenant move in/move out administration;
  • Preparing and reviewing lease agreements and summarizing to ensure obligations and terms are accurately reflected in Yardi;
  • Monitor and review tenant delinquency and arrears reports; provide strategies to reduce receivables and ensure proper and timely filing of LTB applications.
  • Coordinate quarterly marketing kiosk schedules with Rogers and Bell representatives.
  • Prepare monthly summaries of tenant delinquency balances, net of deferred AGI (Above Guideline Increase) portions, for departmental review.
  • Collection of tenant arrears and maintain minimal accounts receivables;
  • Perform other duties as assigned from time to time by the Company
