CNC Machine Operator
About the role
Job Title: CNC Machine Operator Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Location: North York, Ontario (On-site) Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Pay Rate: $20 to $40 per/hour (Based on experience)
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator to join a production team in North York, Ontario. The ideal candidate will have a strong machining background, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor multiple CNC machines simultaneously
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job specifications
- Perform in-process inspections using micrometers and other precision measuring tools
- Verify dimensions and tolerances using callipers, indicators, and micrometers
- Sharpen, set, and adjust cutting tools as required
- Understand and make adjustments using G-codes
- Meet production targets while maintaining quality standards
- Identify and report machine, tooling, or quality issues promptly
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous experience in production machining is required
- Ability to operate multiple CNC machines at the same time
- Strong knowledge of tool setting and tool sharpening
- Excellent proficiency with precision measuring instruments:
- Confidently use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and indicators to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job instructions accurately.
- Understand manufacturing tolerances and quality requirements, with a strong attention to detail.
- Make machine and tool adjustments as needed to maintain quality and production efficiency.
- Possess working knowledge of G-codes, tool offsets, and CNC machining processes.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced production environment while consistently meeting production targets.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Be dependable, punctual, and maintain excellent attendance and reliability.
