Job Description

The House of Commons’ Digital Services and Real Property is currently looking to staff the Senior Technology Infrastructure Project Manager and Technology Infrastructure Project Manager positions. The Technology Infrastructure Project Manager (TIPM) leads small to medium-scale infrastructure projects that modernize and enhance the technology supporting Parliament's buildings and services, often within the larger scope of renovation projects. Working with technical specialists, stakeholders, and external partners, you will develop project plans, coordinate project activities, monitor delivery, communicate to stakeholders and management, and help resolve implementation challenges. Success in this role requires strong collaboration, effective project coordination, and the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams to deliver reliable infrastructure solutions. The Senior Technology Infrastructure Project Manager leads complex technology infrastructure projects that support Parliament’s day-to-day operations and services. These projects focus on integrating technology within large construction or renovation projects and delivering parliamentary campus-wide infrastructure solutions that enable reliable and secure parliamentary services. The role oversees projects from planning and execution through transition to operations. Working closely with technical teams, stakeholders, and external service partners, you will manage timelines, resources, and technical risks, resolve delivery issues, deliver executive briefings, and ensure solutions meet operational requirements and standards. Strong stakeholder engagement and strategic leadership are essential to delivering high-impact technology infrastructure that supports Members of Parliament and Canadians.

4 weeks’ vacation (minimum) Qualifications Education : University degree in either Computer Science, Engineering, Project Management OR an acceptable combination of post-secondary education with relevant experience.

Experiences

Technology Infrastructure Project Manager 4+ years of experience coordinating or leading technology infrastructure projects. Experience coordinating project activities, schedules, resources, and technical teams to support the successful delivery of technology infrastructure solutions. Experience supporting the implementation of technology within buildings or campus environments. Experience working collaboratively with stakeholders, contractors, vendors, and external service providers to achieve project objectives. Experience preparing project documentation and communicating project status to stakeholders and management.

Senior Technology Infrastructure Project Manager

7+ years of experience leading multidisciplinary teams on complex technology infrastructure projects. Experience managing projects through all phases of the project lifecycle, from planning and implementation to transition to operations and project closeout, including budget and resource management. Experience delivering technology infrastructure projects involving the integration of technology within buildings or campus environments. Experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams (e.g., networking, telecommunications, structured cabling, audiovisual, physical security, wireless, building automation systems (HVAC, lighting, etc.), or IoT) and collaborating with partners such as construction, facilities, architecture, and security. Experience preparing project documentation, including Project Charters, Project Management Plans, and Project Closeout Reports. Experience facilitating stakeholder meetings, gathering and clarifying requirements, and managing complex stakeholder relationships. Experience preparing and presenting project updates and briefings to senior executives and project stakeholders, including managing project risks, issues, and change.

Assets

Technology Infrastructure Project Manager Experience in one or more of the following technologies: networking, telecommunications, structured cabling, audiovisual, physical security, wireless, building automation systems (HVAC, lighting, etc.), or IoT PMP Experience collaborating with partners in fields such as construction, security, interior design and architecture; Experience in government procurement; Experience working in a construction environment.
