Title: Manager- EM Volunteers and PDA Operations

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee daily management of EM volunteer and PDA activities, ensuring strategic alignment.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Monitor program performance, analyze data, and prepare impact assessment reports.
  • Ensure financial compliance with funding agreements and reporting requirements.
  • Develop program proposals, concept notes, and funding applications for sustainability.
  • Set team performance objectives, establish workplans, monitor performance, resolve conflict, and provide coaching.
  • Contribute to budget planning, operational plans, and financial monitoring.
  • Analyze team performance to improve operations and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Implement projects and initiatives.
  • Monitor compliance with service standards, legislation, and CRC policies; recommend mitigations.

What we are looking for:

  • Qualifications include a minimum of 4 years of experience and a 3-year college diploma or university degree. Supervisory or management experience with leadership and team management skills and the ability to manage performance, resolve conflicts and engage employees.
  • Strong program/service management skills, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
  • Knowledge of performance measurement, impact evaluation, and data analysis to assess program effectiveness.
  • Experience with financial management, grant reporting, and resource allocation.
  • Proficiency in standard computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Ability to identify complex problems, analyze interrelated factors using specialized skills, and develop solutions
  • Ability to influence others with shared interests, gather perspectives, understand needs, and present information to reach consensus, often in somewhat sensitive situations
  • Fluency in English is required; French is an asset.

Working Conditions:

  • Will be working primarily in an office environment when not deployed to an emergency response operation.
  • Some domestic or international travel in generally safe environments
  • Some travel by vehicle may be required. A valid provincial driver’s license is required.
  • As we work with and support people (managers, colleagues, beneficiaries/customers, volunteers, donors and external partners) and communities in Canada and around the world, applicants whose first language is not English may be required to perform the responsibilities of the role in English.
