Job Description:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Optician to join our team as an Eyewear Specialist at Foresight Eyecare. As an Eyewear Specialist, you will be at the forefront of helping our patients look and see their best. Your expertise and caring approach will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients leave with the perfect eyewear, enhancing their vision and confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients in selecting and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses, taking their unique needs into consideration.
- Educate patients on various lens options, frames, and coatings to help them make informed decisions.
- Take accurate measurements for proper lens fit and adjustment of frames.
- Verify and record prescription details, ensuring the accuracy of orders.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring patients feel comfortable and satisfied with their eyewear choices.
- Collaborate with our team of highly trained clinicians to ensure patients receive personalized eye care solutions.
- Keep the eyewear display and fitting area organized and attractive.
- Handle inquiries and concerns with professionalism and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in retail management or retail sales is preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of optical products, including eyeglasses and contact lenses, is a plus
- Familiarity with vision insurance plans and billing procedures is a bonus
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends (Saturdays)
- Secondary language skills in Punjabi, Cantonese and/or Mandarin language skills would be considered an asset.
