About the role

What makes this role important at Ipsos?

Ipsos Strategy3 is the strategic growth consultancy within Ipsos, one of the world’s largest research and insights firms. We help organizations navigate change and seize opportunity through five core lenses: Corporate Strategy, Brand Strategy, Customer Strategy, Innovation Strategy, and Trends & Foresight. With teams in major markets worldwide, we bring global perspective, bold thinking, and a relentless focus on impact.

We’re seeking a Senior Engagement Lead — a strategic consultant who thrives on solving complex problems, inspiring teams, and helping shape the future of some of Canada’s most respected organizations. This role is ideal for someone eager to make an outsized impact at the intersection of insight, strategy, and growth.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this key role, you’ll lead end-to-end engagements that help clients define priorities, uncover new opportunities, and build competitive advantage. You’ll bring structure to complexity, guide teams through ambiguity, and ensure every deliverable is both insightful and actionable.

Client Leadership

  • Partner directly with senior clients to shape project scope, steer deliverables, and facilitate workshops and working sessions
  • Present with confidence in high-stakes settings, including C-suite forums, building trusted advisor relationships

Strategy & Foresight

  • Translate consumer insights, cultural signals, and commercial data into sharp, future-facing strategies
  • Build market sizing, forecasting, and opportunity models that ground recommendations in business impact
  • Apply foresight and trend intelligence to help clients anticipate disruption and shape what’s next

Project & Team Leadership

  • Lead strategic engagements end-to-end, aligning research, strategy, and storytelling to drive confident decisions
  • Own workstreams with confidence, driving progress independently while engaging the right collaborators at the right time
  • Guide teams through ambiguity, bringing structure to complexity and ensuring deliverables are insightful and actionable

Firm Building & Thought Leadership

  • Contribute to Strategy3’s thought leadership agenda, developing points of view and foresight perspectives that advance industry conversations
  • Help recruit, develop, and inspire the next generation of consultants within Strategy3
  • Collaborate with Ipsos teams worldwide to bring global perspective and integrated solutions to Canadian clients

Commercial Growth

  • Cultivate long-term client relationships and identify opportunities for impact and growth
  • Contribute to proposals and new business efforts, helping design tailored strategies to meet client needs

What You Bring to the Table

Experience & Expertise

  • 8–10 years of experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, or strategic insights; exposure to trends and foresight is a strong asset
  • Undergraduate degree required; MBA or relevant graduate degree strongly preferred

Skills & Capabilities

  • Proven ability to structure and solve complex problems — connecting dots across data, insight, and business priorities
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in forecasting, modeling, and translating quantitative data into clear recommendations
  • Excellent writing skills, able to synthesize diverse inputs into compelling stories

Leadership & Mindset

  • Executive presence and outstanding communication skills, with confidence presenting to senior and C-suite stakeholders
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and commercial acumen, with the ability to balance client impact and sustainable growth
  • Collaborative mindset with a desire to mentor others and foster a strong team culture
  • Curiosity about the cultural, technological, and behavioral shifts shaping the future

Comfort working across industries, quickly adapting to new sectors, audiences, and challenges

If you don’t meet 100% of the requirements, we encourage all who feel they might be a fit for the opportunity to apply.
