The incumbent is responsible for translating the organization's information security vision into security architecture and a security strategy (blueprint). In addition, the incumbent ensures the governance of new projects and guides colleagues in defining new solutions. He/She participates in the review and approval of project technical deliverables to ensure that they are architecture-accurate and compliant. The Security Architect plays an advisory role for the security needs of other groups.
Responsibilities
- Define, design and implement security architectures for both technological and application aspects
- Conduct risk and impact analysis for business issues and propose recommendations to reduce risk
- Lead projects to evaluate solutions proposed by software, hardware and cloud service providers to make recommendations
- Provide guidance and direction to the end-user to apply the adapted solutions
- Issue safety guidelines and ensure adherence
- Anticipate trends and carry out the security lookout
- Provide advice and technical expertise in developing and defining the Company's information security program
- Propose corrective measures to ensure compliance with stated IT security standards
- Provide security expertise for application development, database design, networks and / or platforms
- Assess the quality of the controls in place and the related risks
- Maintain security by monitoring and ensuring compliance to standards, policies, and procedures
- Conduct incident response analysis
- Develop and conduct training programs
- Upgrade security systems by monitoring security environment, identifying security gaps and, evaluating and implementing enhancements
- Contribute actively to the vision of technological evolution, systems and applications security orientation
- Act as an expert in cyber security incident resolution and analysis
- Lead the cryptographic practice
Qualifications
- University degree with a minimum 10 years of relevant experience
- Significant experience with multiple technical and business disciplines
- 7 or more years of work experience designing security architecture on progressively complex IT projects preferred
- Mandatory security certification such as but not limited to GIAC, CISSP, CISM, CISA, and CEH
- Knowledge of financial institutions laws and regulations
- Experience and knowledge of cloud security infrastructure
- Excellent communication skills
- Deep knowledge of cryptography
