  • Artificial intelligence, data practices, strategy and governance; leadership; enterprise architecture; IT operations; infrastructure management; data management; enterprise applications; application development; security and risk management.

  • Excels in facilitating and engaging cross-functional groups of IT and business professionals via interactive presentations, training and/or workshops.

  • Excels in Learning and flexibly communicating IT best practices to meet the needs of diverse organizations, industries, situations, and audiences.

Specialty Purpose The Workshop Director – AI is responsible for delivering Info-Tech’s workshops and the delivery of advisory services to clients, primarily in the domains of AI Strategy, Agentic AI Prototyping, AI Development, Workflow Orchestration, Implementation & Integration.

What You Will Do, Includes, But Not Limited To As a Workshop Director, you will be actively engaged in delivering measurable value to Info-Tech Research Group’s members by utilizing our IT Best Practice methodologies, detailed in our Blueprints, to deliver online or on-site structured 1-week workshops designed to help improve their strategies, processes, and organizational effectiveness.

The Workshop Director will provide research- and experience-based insight and guidance, helping IT leaders drive measurable results in their organizations. The incumbent will need to stay current on industry developments to enable the delivery of exceptional service via workshops and services in collaboration with others across our organization.

This individual will work closely with Members to design, develop, and refine AI Agents, prototypes, and other practical AI solutions. This includes data-driven analysis, agent engineering, LLM workflows, and prototype buildouts. In addition, this role will actively support internal experimentation and agent development to accelerate how Info-Tech uses AI in its own service delivery.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Engagement Scoping: Work with clients to properly scope and formalize the objectives, agenda, deliverables, and overall workshop effort in advance of online or onsite delivery.

  • Workshop Delivery: Lead the delivery of workshops, online or onsite, based on Info-Tech’s Best Practice Methodology Blueprints.

  • Work with client cross-functional teams to define the scope and outcomes of their IT initiatives / projects, perform capability maturity assessments and gap analyses, and identify member improvement opportunities/recommendations.

  • Collaborate on the development and iteration of functional AI agents, tools, and services as part of facilitated engagements.

  • Throughout the workshop, collecting activity outputs from participants and compiling them into a polished final deliverable for the Member at the end of the engagement.

  • Client Service: Identify client need for continued advisory service and support after the workshop.

  • Assist in the development of Workshop Engagement documents to formalize the objective, agenda, and deliverables of workshops.

  • Commercial Activity: Identify opportunities to provide additional advisory services, workshop, consulting engagements and services to our clients after the workshop.

  • Research Support: Transmit new knowledge and lessons learned during workshop interactions to influence and improve the research agenda and content. On occasion, develop client case studies and/or industry research notes.

  • Contribute to Info-Tech Research Group research by developing client case studies and/or industry research notes.

  • Generate insight and providing expertise to assist with the development of our research content.

  • Keep a pulse on what’s happening in the industry around your areas of expertise including upcoming trends and best practices, in part, to assist in your contribution of ideas to the research agenda

  • Collaboration & Support: Work collaboratively with others to:

  • Design and build high-quality keynote/other presentations, and successful delivery of presentations as needed.

  • Play a lead role in building internal AI capabilities at Info-Tech, including internal agent development, tool prototypes, knowledge sharing and AI-enhanced workflows.

Education & Experience To be successful, you will need:

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Sciences, Business, IT, or related discipline. MBA is an asset or equivalent.
  • Certifications in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or other related IT disciplines.
  • AI Practical experience of 5 - 8 years with 2-3 years of AI/ML hands-on experience within an AI/ML Ops team.
  • Minimum of 10 years progressive experience in IT leadership OR consulting roles within medium to large organizations (IT team size between 25 and 100 FTEs). Consulting roles within large organizations is a definite advantage.
  • Acquired experience (primary focus) and knowledge of the solution landscape for some promising emerging technologies and experience in:
  • Programming: Python, JavaScript
  • Tools: Git, Docker
  • Cloud: AWS, Azure
  • Frameworks: LangChain, PyTorch
  • Acquired complimentary experience in more than one of the following areas:
  • IT Strategy, Organizational Structure, Organizational Change Management,
  • Enterprise Architecture, Digital Business,
  • Security, Risk and Privacy, Agile,
  • IT Service Desk/Operations, Infrastructure/Cloud Strategy, Disaster Recovery Planning,
  • IT Governance (COBIT, ITIL), Asset Management,
  • Data Governance, Data Quality Management, Information Security,
  • Application Development, Enterprise Application (ERP/HRIS/CRM/ECM) selection and Implementation,
  • Project Portfolio Management, Resource Management, Digital Product,
  • Superior interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, exceptional ability to work well with others.
  • The ability, flexibility, and enthusiasm to work in a fast-paced, rapidly growing, and energetic environment.
  • Previous experience presenting to a C-Suite audience and maintaining a trusted advisor status.
  • Certifications in an IT or project management related topic e.g. PMP, COBIT 5, ITIL are considered beneficial
  • Deep understanding of current and emerging technologies, how other enterprises are employing them to drive digital business, and how they may be applied to the enterprise to drive digital business.
  • Travel Requirement: This role will involve travel, for on-site engagements. Willingness and ability to travel 50% of the time (2 weeks per month) is required. Must hold a valid driver’s license.
  • Visa Requirement: Must be eligible to obtain appropriate work Visa for cross-border work within North America and globally.
  • Work Hours Requirements: Must be available for after-hours work periodically to service Global (Americas/EMEA/APAC) clients.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual proficiency in French, Spanish or German is strongly preferred to support our diverse client base across North America and globally.

Skills

  • Client Interaction and Facilitation; Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with clients and particularly through the facilitation of workshops online or in-person with an audience of 5 to 20 clients (mid management to executive management).
  • Exceptional presentation, facilitation, writing, interpersonal communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Public Speaking ability to speak to a larger group (50+) of individuals.
  • Problem solving; decision making, knowledge management, managing through change & uncertainty and dynamic learning mindset.
  • Client Advisory and Service Delivery; lead multiple clients through complex projects by providing guidance, critical analysis, and support.
  • Proven ability to build rapport, credibility, and trust with clients at all levels and across all disciplines. Build client relationships and established themselves as a trusted advisor (SME) in their space.
  • Opportunity Identification and Definition; lead multiple clients through structured working sessions; can facilitate an inclusive discussion in order to meet clear objectives.
  • Project Management; ability to work independently and remotely for extended periods of time.
