About the role:
Reporting to the Inside Sales Manager, the Live Sales Agent plays a key role in supporting Superior Glove’s sales efforts through real-time customer engagement via live chat.
This is not a typical customer service position — it’s a sales-focused role that contributes directly to growth metrics. The successful candidate will qualify incoming inquiries, provide immediate support on product and order questions, assist with sample selections, and uncover opportunities to upsell and cross-sell. Acting as a liaison between customers and our Inside Sales Team, the Live Sales Agent ensures every conversation leads to value and customer satisfaction.
Location:
Acton Office: 36 Vimy Street, Acton ON. Although not a requirement, this role is currently available as hybrid / remote. Candidates must be willing to travel to office for onsite meetings, events, training.
Responsibilities:
- Qualify and route incoming leads through live chat and other digital channels, ensuring accurate information capture in the CRM.
- Engage directly with customers in real time, answering sales-related questions (e.g., product materials, sizing, safety ratings, availability).
- Assist with order-related support, including inquiries, samples, and coordination with distributors and the Inside Sales Team.
- Promote upselling and cross-selling opportunities, highlighting Superior Glove’s product advantages.
- Provide competitor cross-references and position Superior Glove equivalents with confidence and accuracy.
- Deliver timely updates on order status, shipping, and back-order details, ensuring a smooth sales process.
- Document and report customer insights, trends, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Participate in regular meetings with the Inside Sales Manager and contribute to sales performance targets.
- Stay informed about industry trends and product innovations to serve as a knowledgeable resource.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma (post-secondary education an asset).
- Experience: 1–2 years of sales or marketing experience, ideally in a B2B or technical environment.
- Languages: Proficiency in English, Spanish, and/or French (written and spoken).
- Proven sales acumen with the ability to identify opportunities, qualify leads, and close sales.
- Experience with CRM and ERP systems (Salesforce Service Cloud, NetSuite, HubSpot, or similar).
- Strong multitasking and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple conversations simultaneously.
- Self-motivated and independent, with a proactive approach to achieving results.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Sales training or certification is considered an asset.
- Experience with live chat or digital engagement platforms is preferred.
- Familiarity with Outreach or other sales tracking tools is considered an asset.
- Prior experience in inside sales, distributor engagement, or customer success roles.
