Reporting to the Manager, Systems Development & Integration, Senior Integration Developer is part of DevOps team designing, developing and supporting healthcare systems integration solutions, using HL7 v2.x as well as emerging integration patterns such as FHIR.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the entire cycle of interface development, including analysis, design, specification, implementation, go-live and support
- Managing Epic Error Work Queues to ensure errors are triaged, classified and assigned to appropriate work queues.
- Work with other team members to fulfill Data Courier related responsibilities and requests.
- Working with team to diagnose and resolve interface-related issues, and participating in projects as needed
- Coordinate activities involving multiple players, including vendors, subject matter experts, interface engine developers, and end users, to design, configure, and test interfaces.
- Follow documentation, including adherence to consistent standards when documenting new and existing integrations
- Helps to improve the skills and capabilities of others and fosters their long-term learning and development through coaching and mentoring
- SQL server, SQL queries, data access optimization, database objects creation and optimization, experience with emerging NoSQL technologies is an asset
- Participate in after-hours On-Call rotation coverage.
- Other duties as assigned based on organizational priorities
Qualifications & Skills
- Epic Bridges certification is required or travel to USA will be required for certification
- Knowledge of HL7 v2.x and FHIR standards is required
- Epic Data Courier certification and familiarity with Epic Interconnect Infrastructure is an asset
- Knowledge of Microsoft BizTalk Server is an asset
- College Diploma (3 years program), bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience developing interfaces and integration solutions
- Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS)/Azure DevOps
- Familiar with Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including design, development, testing, deployment
- Knowledge of Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) integration patterns in Healthcare environment
- Working knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
- Must have the ability to communicate with internal/external customers, vendors, management etc. in both formal and informal situations.
- Ability to work with teams to achieve goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
