About the role

Carecor is looking for dedicated and compassionate Care Team Assistants to join our amazing team working in Halifax Regional Municipality and surrounding area hospitals. We’re ready when you are!

Under the direction of facility nursing staff, you will perform floor and observational care duties - helping to create an environment that promotes optimal physical, social, and emotional well-being for patients. For each assignment, you will be in one facility for a full 8-12hour shift.

Qualifications

Our “exemplary standing” with Accreditation Canada is held to the highest regard and is a testament to the fact that we uphold the same hiring standards and patient care delivery as the facilities in which we serve.

  • Continuing Care Assistant (CTA), Care Team Assistant (CCA) certificate OR Internationally Educated Nurse (IEN) currently enrolled in a bridging program and is in the process of attaining RN licensure or LPN licensure with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing

  • Proof of current immunization for measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (MMRV), tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, hepatitis B and Covid-19

  • Proof of negative TB skin test within the past one (1) year or negative chest x-ray within the past five (5) years

  • Current BCLS-HCP (HealthCare Provider)

  • Current N95 Mask Fit Test Certificate

  • Willing to undergo Vulnerable Sector Police Check as a condition of hire
