About the team: From Procurement to Finance to IT services and much more, the Quality & Operation Department provides critical support for all of Huawei Canada. About the job:
- Support project governance, reporting, and performance tracking across the organization; ensure that all projects align with strategic objectives and follow standardized processes with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence, improve visibility, and support decision-making at the executive level.
- Track project milestones and key deliverables to ensure alignment with strategic KPIs.
- Consolidate and maintain PMO dashboards, project documentation, and reporting packages.
- Conduct data analysis on project performance and generate executive-level reports.
- Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders including project managers, department heads, and executives.
- Coordinate cross-functional meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and minute-taking.
- Support portfolio management activities such as project intake, prioritization, and resource planning.
- Support the development and optimization of PMO frameworks, tools, and standards.
- Promote adherence to PMO methodologies and foster a culture of transparency and accountability.
Job requirements
About the ideal candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in a PMO or enterprise project support role with strong knowledge of project management frameworks (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Solid data analysis and reporting skills, with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and BI tools.
- Proficient in project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, Asana, or Smartsheet.
- Ability to engage with multiple stakeholders and drive alignment across functions.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with strategic portfolio management or organizational transformation projects.
- PMP, CAPM, or equivalent certification is an asset.
