As the Team Lead, Recreation Technology Project, you will lead a project team within Recreation and Social Programs in the selection and implementation of a new recreation management software. In this position, you will supervise project management staff and build relationships with key partners. Primary duties include:

  • Lead the Recreation Technology Solution Project and drive the full project lifecycle.
  • Lead project teams and represent the business unit on strategic projects.
  • Manage the project team, as well as Subject Matter Experts assigned to help the project.
  • Collaborate with IT/Supply to work with vendors on ensuring deliverables are achieved and status reports are submitted.
  • Develop and manage budget for projects including managing capital and operating budget and ensuring budget/actuals are reconciled, projections and variances are submitted, and cost escalations/issues are addressed with the Manager/Director.
  • Lead requirements gathering for the technology project, ensure engagement of interested parties, support change management, communicate and drive implementation.
  • Work with all internal partners to support the successful outcome of the project.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Commerce, Administration, Business Studies or any related fields.
  • At least 4 years of related experience with demonstrate experience in project management, process modelling or business management.
  • Intermediate experience using Microsoft office tools - Excell, Word, PowerPoint, teams, SharePoint and planner.
  • Success in the role requires effective leadership, communication, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Collaboration with staff within Recreation & Social Programs and other internal business units will be vital as well.

Pre-employment Requirements

  • A security clearance will be conducted.
  • Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications.

Workstyle: This position may be eligible to work from home for at least part of the time as one of several flexible work options available to City employees. These arrangements depend on the operational requirements of the role, employee suitability, and are subject to change based on operational needs and corporate direction.

Compensation: Level A2 $113, 400 - 141,700 per annum

Days of Work: This position works a 5 day

work week earning 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.

Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
