About the Role

At Coach Canada, safety and reliability are at the heart of everything we do. We are seeking a licensed 310T Coach & Truck Mechanic Supervisor to lead our team of skilled mechanics in maintaining and repairing our fleet of motorcoaches and buses.

This role offers the opportunity to mentor apprentices, lead technicians, and ensure compliance with the highest standards of safety and performance. What You’ll Do

  • Supervise, mentor, and support mechanics and apprentices in all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Organize and assign daily shop work, including preventative and corrective maintenance.
  • Audit internal and external repairs to ensure compliance with MTO, MOL, WHMIS, and company safety standards.
  • Use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
  • Ensure accurate completion of work orders, parts usage, and compliance records.
  • Promote and enforce a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead training and onboarding for new mechanics and apprentices.
  • Collaborate with operations to prioritize repairs and vehicle readiness.
  • Provide coverage, including evenings or weekends, as operational needs require.

What You Bring

  • Valid 310T Truck & Coach Technician license.
  • Minimum 5 years’ hands-on mechanical experience plus prior supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Valid Ontario Commercial Driver’s License with air brake endorsement, free of serious offences.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Working knowledge of MTO, MOE, MOL, and WHMIS regulations.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and repair software.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with a focus on retention, fairness, and team engagement.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or overtime as required.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform work in varied conditions.
