Description
The Part-Time Weekend Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for individuals supported, families, employees, visitors, contractors, and community partners at Reena. This role is responsible for providing professional reception and administrative support while creating a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive environment that reflects Reena's mission, vision, and values.
Working collaboratively with program staff and internal departments, the Receptionist responds to inquiries, directs visitors, coordinates building access, manages incoming communications, and supports the efficient day-to-day operation of the residence. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent customer service, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
This position will be located at Frankfort Family Reena Residence (FFRR), 165 Elm Ridge Drive, Toronto, ON M6B 1B5. Reena reserves the right to reassign this position to a different location due to operational needs.
Shift Schedule
Friday: 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Saturday: 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. Sunday: 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. Please note that shifts are subject to change based on operational requirements.

Job Responsibilities
- Primary Responsibilities Monitor building access by buzzing individuals into the parking lot and facility. Greet and assist tenants, staff, day program participants, and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner. Oversee the visitor sign-in process and direct individuals to the appropriate appointments or destinations. Answer incoming calls and transfer them to the appropriate person, department, or voicemail. Log keys in and out in accordance with organizational procedures. Perform general administrative tasks, including photocopying, uploading documents to ShareVision, and maintaining records. Provide support for special events and organizational functions as needed. Sort and distribute incoming mail into designated slots. Assist with ordering, receiving, and unpacking office supplies. Communicate with Property Department staff as required to address maintenance or facility-related needs. Where applicable, maintain the reception coffee station, ensuring coffee and related supplies are available and replenished as needed.
Formal Education and Experience
- Qualifications Completion of a high school diploma. Minimum of one (1) year of experience or volunteer work in reception or customer service. Proficient in using multi-line phone systems and Microsoft Office applications. Demonstrates a professional, courteous, and approachable demeanor.
