As a member of a well-recognized network in the field and subject to the regulations of the Commission de la construction du Québec (CCQ), it delivers professional services that meet Québec market requirements. As part of a maternity leave replacement, the organization is seeking to add an Accounting Technician to support daily financial operations.
Key Responsibilities: Cash Management
- Monitor collections, payments, and bank transactions.
- Plan supplier payments.
- Update cash flow forecasts and analyze variances.
- Quickly flag any liquidity-related risks. Day-to-Day Accounting Operations
- Process customer receipts and supplier payments (Acomba).
- Follow up on accounts receivable and payable.
- Manage banking relationships and reconcile fund movements. Full Payroll Cycle
- Review timesheets; enter and process payroll (Employeur D, Acomba Construction).
- Prepare mandatory filings (T4s, RL-1 slips, CNESST, etc.).
- Maintain up-to-date employee records. Bookkeeping and Month-End / Year-End Close
- Record journal entries in the general ledger.
- Perform bank and tax reconciliations (GST/QST).
- Prepare monthly financial statements.
- Contribute to year-end closing files. Management Support and Internal Controls
- Perform intercompany entries for related entities.
- Participate in improving accounting procedures.
- Produce financial reports and dashboards.
- Collaborate with the external auditor.
- Ensure compliance with CCQ, CNESST, and tax obligations.
- Perform any other related duties.

Requirements:
- Diploma in Accounting (DEP, DEC, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Knowledge of Acomba Construction and Employeur D software (asset).
- Understanding of the construction industry (CCQ, CNESST) (asset).
Salary: $26 to $31 per hour Schedule: Day shift, Monday to Friday, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Status: Temporary (12 months)
