Position Summary:
This position will primarily be scheduled during junior tennis programming hours (evenings and weekends). This position is estimated to be scheduled 10-15 hours per week but is based on the junior tennis program’s needs. This position is intended for an experienced tennis professional with a passion for teaching the sport.
This role pays an hourly rate of $30.00 CAD

About the Venue:
Youngs Sportsplex consists of four indoor tennis courts, one indoor full-size soccer field (divisible into three small-sided fields), three outdoor full size artificial turf soccer fields, and two outdoor full-size grass soccer fields.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with planning, organizing, and delivery of high quality, safe, and stimulating tennis programs for all levels of junior participants.
- This role will primarily involve the on-court instruction of youth tennis players.
- Keep current with tennis industry trends and best practices for instruction.
- Identify and evaluate customers’ needs and respond proactively.
- Ensure strong participant retention rates and strive to grow junior tennis program participation
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of tennis coaching/instructional experience.
- 'Instructor' level certification with the OTA (Ontario Tennis Association)
- Tennis Professionals Association (TPA) certifications are considered an asset.
- First Aid and CPR/AED, police vulnerable sector check required.
- Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.
- Ability to be detail-oriented, multi-task, and effectively prioritized in a continuously changing environment.
- Exceptional communication skills
- Guest oriented and service minded
