About the role

The Continuing Legal Education Society of BC (“CLEBC”) is the BC legal profession’s preferred source for education and publications. CLEBC is a not-for-profit society that derives all of its income from the sale of courses and books. With more than 80 live and online courses each year, and an online and print library of more than 50 books, we support BC’s 12,000 lawyers in all aspects of their practice.

We are currently seeking a Temporary Customer Service Representative to join our team and play an essential role in enhancing our customers’ experience. In this role, you will handle everything from setting up new accounts to answering customer queries and identifying opportunities to deliver exceptional products and services. This position offers a chance to make a real impact on customer satisfaction.

This is a full-time, temporary hybrid role, requiring three days per week in the office, for a duration of up to 12 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide customers with detailed information on CLEBC products and services
  • Process orders, registrations, and customer inquiries
  • Resolve questions about accounts, subscriptions, products, and shipments
  • Manage standing orders and subscriptions, ensuring customer profiles and product pages are up to date
  • Accurately process payments, credits, and refunds
  • Work closely with the accounting team to resolve account issues and assist with invoicing and payment queries
  • Manage and maintain the customer database
  • Offer technical support for the web store, online courses, and subscription services
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with customers and business partners
  • Collaborate with other departments as needed
  • Upload bulk orders to Canada Post EST Site and troubleshoot discrepancies
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer service or sales role, with a solid understanding of customer service principles
  • Strong ability to build and maintain lasting customer and business partner relationships
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to complete tasks thoroughly
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with a problem-solving mindset
  • Clear, effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of NetSuite is an asset
  • Typing speed of at least 50 words per minute
  • High-energy, enthusiastic personality
  • Familiarity with the legal industry is an asset

CLEBC offers competitive compensation and extended health benefits in a collegial and professional environment. The starting salary range for this position is $47,600 to $56,000 annually.
