Who We're Looking for?

NapSteel seeks an experienced and motivated Inside/Outside Sales Representative to join our growing team. This role will be a permanent, full-time position and is located at our Edmonton branch.

Skills:

  • Proven business acumen
  • A good instinct for sales and building relationships with customers
  • Driven and results-oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Highly organized with a strong ability to track, manage, and follow through on details
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
  • Ability to work independently as well as report to a sales supervisor and management.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieving all territory business objectives including sales goals and growth
  • Developing, implementing, and executing a territory business plan
  • Prospecting / cold calling for additional business to create new customer relationships
  • Maintaining existing customer partnerships, building strong and lasting relationships with new customers
  • Delivering superior customer experience to achieve account retention and growth
  • Identifying and reporting market trends and competitor information with sales team members
  • Full cycle customer service, including receiving and accurately processing orders
  • Answering questions and following up with customers
  • Analyzing and resolving customer complaints
  • Assisting in developing project bids
  • Creating and maintaining customer records
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Vehicle ownership (driver's abstract may be requested)
  • The ability for overnight travel (during weekdays)
  • A post-secondary degree and previous experience in the steel industry are considered an asset
  • Preference will be given to candidates with prior sales experience

Our company supplies import and domestic steel pipe to distribution centers, pile drivers, fire protection, contractors etc. We have another division named Cascadia Metals - which sells flat steel, split coil hot & cold rolled and painted steel products. We have three facilities in the U.S. Arlington, Auburn and Longview, WA. Our Longview branch is the HQ for our U.S. operations. NAP Steel & Cascadia originated out of Canada and are still going strong in their markets.
