Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $179,232 (Min) – $238,976 (Control Point) – $274,822 (Max).
Placement within a salary band is typically up to the Control Point, based on a review of skills and experience. The College may offer over Control Point in limited circumstances, with additional approval. Administrators will progress along the salary band to the range maximum through annual performance increases. Salaries are supplemented with a comprehensive total compensation and benefits package, including a pension plan.
The Opportunity
The Vice President, Academic and Provost is the College’s senior academic administrator and reports directly to the College President and Chief Executive Officer.
The Vice President, Academic and Provost is responsible for the College’s Academic Division, providing strategic direction and ensuring implementation and evaluation of its credit and non-credit courses and programs, applied research and business development. The Vice President, Academic and Provost promotes the College’s public profile, working collaboratively with other members of the College leadership team and program leaders to further the academic priorities in the College’s Strategic Plan.
This is an incredible opportunity for a dynamic and established professional to lead academic programming and services for the College. WHAT IT TAKES
The ideal candidate will have a doctoral degree from a reputable post-secondary institution supplemented by a minimum of five (5) years of experience as an instructor at a post-secondary institution and a minimum of five (5) years of senior and/or mid-level administrative experience in a post-secondary institution.
This position requires a strong understanding of the BC public post-secondary system with demonstrated and superior leadership, strategic-thinking, analytical, and organizational skills. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered.
Additional Information
The anticipated start date for this position is the Winter semester of 2026.
