We design, manufacture, and support advanced equipment sensing and analysis products, including on-line oil debris sensors, torque measurement sensors, turbine blade health sensors, and at-line oil analysis systems.

Based in Ottawa, Ontario, the Quality Assurance Inspector will report to the Team Lead, Quality Inspection and will have a wide range of duties which ultimately focus on the quality control inspections of products.

What You’ll Do:

The Quality Assurance Inspector will be part of the Quality Assurance team with the primary focus of inspecting products. You will;

  • Inspect in-process and finished products for all lines to ensure products meet customer specifications and company quality standards.
  • Complete necessary quality control documentation.
  • Perform regular routine audit inspections when required to do so.
  • Document inspection findings, including defects or deviations and ensure verifications are performed when rework is completed
  • Monitor and meet required production inspection targets.
  • Train new inspectors as required.
  • Participate in team quality meeting(s) and provide feedback to team on issues identified after troubleshooting.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Who You Are:

  • Knowledge of AS9100 Quality System Requirements
  • Experience interpreting drawings, technical documents, purchase orders, etc.
  • Worked with IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, IPC-J-STD-001 is preferred
  • Experience using a wide variety of precision measuring instruments (i.e. micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc)
  • Strong understanding and application of workmanship standards
  • Strong understanding of GD&T
  • Great understanding and application of quality standards and control procedures

What You Should Bring:

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of demonstrated experience in an electronics and mechanical inspection-related role in a high reliability manufacturing environment. Additionally, you should have;

  • High motivation with results-oriented focus
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills
  • Detail oriented and quality conscious
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Eligible to obtain a Security Clearance (NATO Level Clearance)
