About the role

What You'll Do Financial & Operational Leadership

  • Manage daily accounting operations including payroll, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with General Motors Standard Accounting Policies and applicable regulations.
  • Reconcile bank and ledger accounts, support month-end/year-end close, and assist with audits.
  • Oversee high-dollar transactions while maintaining financial data integrity.

Strategic & Analytical Support

  • Provide actionable financial analysis to guide management decisions.
  • Contribute to dealership planning, forecasting, and profitability strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and performance.
  • Participate in management meetings to help shape dealership goals and direction.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop the accounting and administrative team.
  • Promote a collaborative, accountable, and growth-oriented culture.
  • Foster strong communication and positive working relationships across departments.

Administrative Excellence

  • Oversee records management and office processes.
  • Liaise with external partners including banks, auditors, and insurers.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting and documentation.

Qualifications

  • CPA designation preferred (or working toward).
  • Proven experience in accounting, finance, or dealership operations.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance standards.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
