About This Role

The Stakeholder Relations Coordinator is essential to coordinating Government Relations efforts and stakeholder outreach across the international portfolio, with a focus on ensuring continuity of support and service for D&S Canada.

The Coordinator will proactively engage with stakeholders, enhance CAE’s reputation, and establish CAE Defense & Security as a trusted partner to the customer. The comprehensive stakeholder outreach strategy developed under this role will strengthen our competitive position, increase transparency, and improve our ability to navigate complex projects successfully.

Job Description:

The Stakeholder Relations Coordinator will undertake the following duties:

  • Government Relations Planning: Contribute to the development and execution of government relations plans by monitoring government operations, tracking Parliamentary business in Canada, and providing valuable inputs
  • Internal Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams, such as global communications, strategy, and business development, to align stakeholder engagement strategies with overall organizational goals
  • Briefing and Background Materials: Draft briefing and background materials for executives to align messages and maximize each interaction
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on stakeholder engagement activities, outcomes, and key learnings to keep internal stakeholders informed and accountable
  • Mapping: Identify and categorize stakeholders based on their relevance, influence, and potential impact on the organization's objectives and initiatives
  • Engagement Strategy: Develop a strategic approach for engaging with stakeholders, taking into account their preferred communication channels, interests, and level of involvement
  • Feedback Mechanisms: Establish mechanisms for collecting feedback from stakeholders, such as surveys, feedback forms, or focus groups, to continuously improve engagement effort
  • Administrative and Logistical Support: Provide administrative, scheduling, and logistical support as required to ensure smooth coordination and execution of stakeholder engagement activities.
