This role is ideal for a health and safety professional who thrives in a fast‑paced commercial construction environment and enjoys being the operational backbone of field safety activities. You’ll bring strong administrative discipline, deep knowledge of safety standards, and the confidence to support teams across multiple job sites in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate and support daily health and safety operations across active construction sites.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for field teams, clients, and internal stakeholders—answering inquiries, routing information, and ensuring smooth communication flow.
- Maintain accurate, organized records of Field Service and safety activities, including inspections, incident reports, training logs, and compliance documentation.
- Assist with client billing, receivables, and administrative tracking related to safety services.
- Prepare and update safety documentation, manuals, and reports in alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Support COR audit preparation and documentation; contribute to continuous improvement of safety programs.
- Collaborate with supervisors and field leaders to reinforce safety culture and ensure timely follow‑through on corrective actions.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of health & safety administration experience in commercial construction, with strong familiarity working in heavy industrial or field‑based environments.
- NCSO® designation strongly preferred, along with other recognized safety or risk‑management certifications.
- Experience supporting or conducting COR audits in Alberta and/or Saskatchewan (asset).
- Solid understanding of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) regulations and compliance expectations.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professional client interaction.
- Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and the ability to support field personnel effectively.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and digital documentation systems.
Physical & Travel Requirements
- Regular job‑site visits in all weather conditions.
- Ability to move throughout facilities and construction sites to conduct safety‑related tasks.
- Occasional travel between Alberta and Saskatchewan, with mileage reimbursement.
