Join our finance team as a Bookkeeper and play a key role in keeping our financial operations running smoothly and efficiently. In this dynamic position, you’ll manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll processes while ensuring accuracy across financial records and reports. You’ll collaborate closely with the Finance Manager and CFO, contributing to month-end processes, audits, and overall financial sustainability.

What You'll Do
Administers Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll processes by coding, recording, posting, processing, and reconciling transactions. Ensures accuracy and completeness of various accounting summaries and financial reports. Assists in preparation for month-end and annual audits to support the Finance Manager and CFO in maintaining the financial sustainability of the organization Produces financial statements, budgets, and other financial reports.

2 years of post-secondary education in Bookkeeping or Accounting 2 years of recent related experience in AP, AR, and Payroll Or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Your Unique Qualities
Demonstrated working knowledge of and strong abilities in:
Accounting principles Financial software systems Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams Attention to detail and accuracy Communication skills, both verbal and written Responding to staff and vendors in an accurate, timely, and professional manner Working effectively as part of a team and independently with little supervision Organizational and time management skills Effectively handle multiple demands from various channels
Your Unique Requirements
The following training is required and provided to the successful candidate free of charge. Existing certification is an asset: Mandt-R, Abuse and Neglect Awareness training, Anti-Bullying and Harassment. This job requires union membership A background check through the BC Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General is required.
PROGRAM: Finance
LOCATION: Kamloops, BC
STATUS: Temp Full-Time
TERM: 12 months or until the return of the incumbent
HOURS of WORK: 37.5 hours per week
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, flexible hours
REPORTS TO: Finance Manager
COMPENSATION: $25.95 - $29.76 per hour (Grid 10 as per collective agreement compensation subject to recently ratified wage increases not yet implemented)
