JOB SUMMARY

The Director, HR Site Head serves as a trusted partner and strategic advisor to site leadership, working collaboratively to develop and implement people strategies that support operational goals and foster a high-performing workplace. Embedded within the site leadership team, this role plays a key part in aligning HR practices with business priorities, enhancing organizational effectiveness, and driving employee engagement. The Director partners cross-functionally with both local leaders and enterprise HR teams to deliver integrated, practical HR solutions that reflect the unique needs of the site while supporting broader company initiatives.

Strategic HR Leadership & Business Partnership

Act as the primary HR leader for the assigned manufacturing or operations site, owning the development and delivery of people strategies aligned with local business priorities and enterprise HR goals

Serve on the site leadership team, contributing to business performance, workforce planning, and operational effectiveness

Collaborate with HR COEs (Compensation, Employee Relations, HR Ops, etc.) to localize and implement enterprise programs and initiatives

Use workforce data and local business insights to inform strategic decisions and identify opportunities for site-specific HR interventions

In partnership with the site leadership team, the HR Site Lead delivers against HR strategy & Initiatives across multiple facets of HR:

Organizational Effectiveness & Change

Lead change management efforts associated with site-level business transformation, shifts in organizational design, and continuous improvement initiatives

Assess and address site-specific organizational effectiveness challenges; develop and deploy interventions to improve team alignment, communication, and collaboration

Support optimization of workforce structures and processes in response to business or operational shifts

Leadership & Employee Development

Partner with site leadership to build high-performing teams aligned to business outcomes

Provide coaching support to managers and supervisors across functions

Lead performance management, talent reviews, and development planning for site-based employees

Coordinate high-potential identification and succession planning for site-critical roles

Recommend site-specific development and training programs in collaboration with Global HRBP Leads

Promote and reinforce a culture of high performance, accountability, and inclusivity

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

Own and drive the execution of recruitment strategies to ensure timely hiring for site-based roles

Lead workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational capability building across client groups

Partner with business leaders to identify talent gaps and implement strategies through hiring, development, and internal mobility

Guide career development and talent movement decisions, advising on potential, readiness, and role alignment

Partner with site leaders to support headcount planning

Employee Engagement & Employee Relations

Own the site-level employee engagement strategy; analyze engagement data and implement action plans to enhance morale, retention, and culture

Cultivate a positive employee relations environment in partnership with the Employee Relations team and senior leaders.

Partner with the Employee Relations team on employee relations matters within the site

Advise management on sensitive employee matters, including performance, discipline, and exits, ensuring compliance and fairness.

Total Rewards

Partner with Compensation to ensure equitable, market-competitive, and performance driven reward practices that are aligned with internal frameworks and external benchmarks

Guide salary planning through the year-end compensation cycle

Operations

Lead or contribute to global HR initiatives

Maintain current human resources knowledge to ensure company compliance with all federal, state, provincial and local laws related to employment

Ensure HR documentation/administration is fully compliant with SOX regulations

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, Organization Development, Communications, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)

HR Designation SHRM

Experience

10-12 years of broad-based HR experience, including 5+ years of management required; prior experience in Manufacturing and/or life-sciences is preferred

Proven ability to develop and execute site-level people strategies aligned with business needs

Experience working with plant or operations leaders and supporting frontline to senior-level employees

Demonstrated ability to coach leaders, shape culture, and lead HR in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

Skills

Must be able to operate in a matrixed environment; multi-national organization

Strong business acumen with ability to align HR strategies with business objectives

Strong analytical, consulting, and project management, and change management skills.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and coaching abilities.

Strong systems thinking and the ability to identify solutions and associated impacts.

Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints

Demonstrated capabilities in decision quality and timely decision making

Ability to navigate conflict and maintain constructive working relationships with people at all levels of an organization

Knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines

Ability to analyze complex data and provide recommendations

Knowledge of federal and state employment and benefit laws
