About Infostrux:

Infostrux is one of North America’s fastest-growing data-focused consultancies. Within 18 months of our founding in 2021, Snowflake recognized us at the highest partnership tier—a reflection of our deep expertise and impact.

We help organizations unlock the value of their data by building modern, cloud-native platforms that power analytics, AI, and machine learning. Our work spans the modern data stack—covering data engineering, architecture, integration, and modelling—with Snowflake as one of our core partners.

From startups to Fortune 500s across industries like finance, health, gaming, and retail, we design and deliver scalable data solutions that enable faster, smarter, data-driven decisions. And as proud recipients of the Great Place to Work® Certification (2025), we are equally committed to fostering a culture of trust, collaboration, and growth for our people.

Job Summary:

As the Senior Technical Data Governance Specialist, you will play a critical role by enabling our clients to turn governance principles into practical, scalable solutions that derive maximum value. Positioned at the intersection of business and technology, you connect teams, define processes, and guide the responsible use of data across their organizations. You love continuously researching and learning new technologies, processes, and solution methods that will dramatically improve solution delivery capabilities. This role is your opportunity to make a real impact by turning data into a trusted asset that drives success.

What you’ll get to do:

  • Data Governance Frameworks: Drive the adoption of data governance policies, standards, and processes across the organization to ensure consistent and responsible data use.
  • Data Quality Management: Monitor and improve data quality by defining rules, tracking metrics, and supporting issue resolution to ensure data is accurate, complete, and reliable.
  • Metadata and Data Lineage: Support the creation and upkeep of metadata repositories and lineage documentation to improve data transparency, traceability, and understanding.
  • Data Security and Compliance: Help enforce data access controls, privacy policies, and compliance requirements to protect sensitive information and meet regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with internal teams, data owners, stewards, engineers, and business users to embed governance practices into daily operations and data lifecycle processes.
  • Data Governance Tools and Platforms: Configure, maintain, and optimize data governance and cataloging tools to streamline workflows and increase adoption.
  • Stewardship and Accountability: Assist in defining roles, responsibilities, and stewardship models that promote data ownership and accountability across domains.
  • Communication and Documentation: Create and maintain accessible documentation, policies, and training materials to increase awareness and understanding of data governance.
  • Governance Reporting and Insights: Provide insights, dashboards, and reports on governance metrics, data quality trends, and compliance status to support informed decision-making.

What you’ll bring:

  • A passion for turning data into a trusted asset, with a strong understanding of data governance principles, best practices, and the ability to apply them in real-world, cross-functional environments.
  • Technical expertise across modern data ecosystems, including hands-on experience with data cataloging, metadata management, data quality tools, and cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift).
  • Strong SQL and data analysis skills, allowing you to explore, profile, and validate data independently to support governance efforts and uncover root causes of data issues.
  • An eye for structure and detail, ensuring that metadata, lineage, and data ownership information is accurate, complete, and actionable.
  • A collaborative and consultative mindset, with the ability to work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders, build trust, and guide them through governance adoption.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, enabling you to translate complex governance concepts into simple, clear language and processes that drive understanding and adoption.
  • A problem-solving attitude, proactively identifying data risks or gaps and working creatively to implement practical, scalable solutions.
  • A commitment to continuous learning, staying up to date on new technologies, and governance trends to keep your practices modern and effective.

Additional Assets:

  • Data Governance Certification (CIMP, CDS, etc.)
  • Data Management Certification (CDMP, etc.)
  • Administrator-level training and/or certification for Data Governance or Cataloging tools (data.world, Secoda, Atlan, Ataccama etc.)
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, IT, or Mathematics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Fluency in French

What we work with:

  • Data Catalog and Data Governance tools (Secoda, Atlan, Atacama, data.world)
