Medicine Hat College is inviting internal applications for a full-time, temporary Accounting Coordinator (Accounting Assistant III) position in the Financial Services department. This role is a leave replacement.
A little about the role:
The team lead position is responsible for fixed assets, bank reconciliations, day to day banking and assisting with operations. It provides support to supervisors for monthly financial reporting, budgeting, general ledger, preparation of special reports for external and internal use, day to day resolution of financial issues and inquiries, and preparation of year-end audit file sections.
Details:
As a successful applicant you'll have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Business/Finance/Commerce
- Three years’ experience in an accounting environment
- Equivalent combinations of post-secondary education and work experience may be considered
- Excellent working knowledge of full cycle accounting, including but not limited to, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, cash receipts, and bank and account reconciliations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to be able to provide customer service and guidance to staff.
Terms of Employment
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week
Term: November 2025 – November 2026
Pay rate: $30.82 per hour (Start Rate); $34.30 per hour (Job Rate)
